THE CURSED WOMAN?I have often wondered why any woman would want to join a religion that begins with: YOU ARE CURSED! I understand one might wonder what in blazes this topic has to do with Homosexuality and the Bible. Well, it does so indirectly. However, the response to my inquiry might exist along the lines; “We don’t take those old Scriptures too seriously (especially the ones about marriage). They are so out of date!” But why do Christians get to conveniently ignore the myriad of text directed at heterosexuals but quote with a passion the few verses they think condemns homosexuals?
ARE YOU REALLY THAT INSIGNIFICANT?
The first Scripture women are asked to believe is; before the official curse their origins were no more significant than that of a mere bone from the male rib cage. This is a subliminal female curse; one that belittles female existence. Once the mother female was produced, she was the instant wife of the man she came from. Even though there was no marriage ceremony. Today, if a female were cloned from a part of the male anatomy, she would be considered, HIS TWIN SISTER. Honestly, would you want to have sex and procreate with a cloned opposite of yourself? This is way juicier than Homosexuality and the Bible – You think?
The above Scripture is part of the official affliction supposedly passed down to everyone of the female persuasion. What most readers fail to realize … THIS IS A CURSE! Ergo, once upon a time THE OPPOSITE was true! How could a person have any idea what a curse is unless they experienced otherwise? Unbeknownst to most, Adam and Eve produced offspring before they were cursed. Eve experienced painless child birth! How else would she understand this would change because of her disobedience? And if this is true; the later part of the verse is true! Initially, Eve ruled over Adam. This would explain why the Serpent spoke to the woman while the man remained silent! As we continue, you will see the indirect relevance to Homosexuality and the Bible. IT DOESN’T GET ANY BETTER!
As you can see in the above scripture, life was an uphill battle for women. The word "wife" was not a part of the ancient Hebrew vocabulary. The only word they had was "woman." And women came in two varieties; owned and not owned yet! Talk about a curse, technically a daughter was owned by her father; who could sell her for profit. That’s why Lot treated his daughters the way he did in the story of Sodom [Genesis 19]. The ceremony of marriage was a formality for ownership. And of course, a man could own as many wives as he could financially support. This included homosexual men! Finally; the main theme: Homosexuality in the Bible. Ergo, all men were truly created equal! Both homosexuals and heterosexuals benefited from the laws of ownership; exclusively to males! Many wealthy homosexuals owned Harems, had wives and produced offspring! All of this was symbolism for God's blessings and prosperity! I should also note; divorced women are categorized with whores, harlots and profanity. THE BEAT GOES ON
According to the above scriptures, females were not permitted to adorn themselves with the same things men adorned themselves with. This included: male garments, rings, bracelets, necklaces, time pieces, cologne, facial makeup, hair cuts, hair grooming and wigs! That is why you see some African and Middle-Eastern women covered from head to toe. And their marriages last a lifetime … as long as they are completely submissive to their husbands. They behave this way because they are convinced they must live their lives under the curse of Eve. Homosexuality and the Bible doesn’t get any better than this! I would also like to point out in the second scripture the penalty of a man raping a young single girl. Since males had the complete advantage in society, young girls were a common target. The penalty for a man taking sexual advantage of a young single woman was to pay her father a monetary fine; then the shot-gun marriage that followed was exempt from the laws of divorcement; which according to the third verse was not that hard to attain. But I bet that rule would drastically cut down sexual assaults in modern society! I guess this particular curse is a matter of perception. But getting back to Homosexuality in the Bible … If we think its OK to dig around in the scriptures for verses we can quote out of context to condemn other groups of people (e.g. homosexuals), it is just as easy to do the same for heterosexuals!
